Outback Steakhouse takes great pride in giving back. We have a strong commitment to improving the quality of life in our communities of the countries and regions that we operate in.
In 2018, we supported “No Tissue Day”, initiated by Christian Family Service Centre and The Chief Project. All outlets in Hong Kong ceased to provide tissues and paper napkins for customers on April 26, 2018. Through participating in the campaign, we aim to encourage people in a habit of using less tissues and play a part in reducing waste. We also promoted “No Tissue Day” in our outlets for three additional months to encourage the public to change their habits and reduce the amount of tissues they use.?
We are proud to participate in a variety of events and activities in Hong Kong, including the “Room to Read”, which raised US$20,000 to build a new “Outback – Room to Read Library” for schools, the Orbis Darkness To Go, the Orbis Walkathon, the So Walk Walkathon by The Society Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention, the HKIS School fair, the Matilda Sedan Chair run and the Peak School fair. Donation raised proceed to respective charities and organizations.
